The SES/320 family of vacuum insulating oil conditioning systems are designed to prepare new and in-service insulating oil for use in electrical high-voltage equipment. SES/320 systems increase insulating oil breakdown voltage values by removing dissolved water, dissolved gas, and particulate contaminants. Aged and oxidized oil requiring neutralization value and color correction must be "reclaimed" using the additional adsorbent acid treatment stage provided with the SES/320A series purifiers.
Performance Options
SESCO offers three types of SES/320 vacuum oil conditioning systems. All three types achieve the same ultimate dielectric breakdown voltage (>70kV). The degassing efficiency (the rate the dissolved water and gas are removal) varies with each type. The following table outlines the three types of conditioning systems offered.

SES/320-MP
|
3
Passes
|
The SES/320-MP series are designed to perform multiple-pass oil conditioning.
These systems are typically used for recirculation within smaller electrical devices such as distribution transformers, breakers, tap changers, etc.

3 Pass
Performance
|
50 ppm dissolved water reduced to < 5 ppm
12% dissolved gas reduced to < 0.15%
Removes 99.98% of solid matter < 0.5 microns

SES/320-50
|
1
Pass
|
The SES/320-50 series are designed to perform single-pass oil conditioning.
This series is capable of filling electrical devices when starting with typical "new oil" dissolved moisture and gas contamination levels.

50 ppm
Single Pass
Performance
|
50 ppm dissolved water reduced to < 5 ppm
10% dissolved gas reduced to < 0.15%
Removes 99.98% of solid matter < 1 microns
|
|
SES/320-100
|
The SES/320-100 series are designed to perform single-pass oil conditioning.
This series is capable of evacuating and filling electrical devices when starting with 100% saturated or "worst case" dissolved moisture and gas contamination levels.

|
100 ppm
Single Pass
Performance
|
100 ppm dissolved water reduced to < 10 ppm
12% dissolved gas reduced to < 0.25%
Removes 99.98% of solid matter < 1 microns

Mounting Configurations
The 320-50 & 320-100 single pass conditioning systems are available with a wide range of flow rates and mounting configurations. Stationary skid mounted systems are normally provided for plant use and dedicated to oil conditioning. The vast majority of SES/320 systems built are
mobile systems used for transformer field service oil conditioning. SES/320 mobile systems can be used solely for oil conditioning but are commonly configured with optional equipment to provide transformer dry-out capabilities.
